Position Title: Animal Control Investigator Department: Public Health Position: 03490 Annual Entry Salary: $32,345 - $43,666 FLSA: Non-exempt Closing Date: Open Until Filled Minimum Qualifications: Completion of high school or GED and some prior work experience in handling and care of animals, or animal control and confinement. National Animal Control Association NACA I certified. Valid North Carolina driver's license and driving records and criminal background check required. Neat appearance is a must. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Greensboro city streets and Guilford County roads is preferred. Successful completion of an Animal Cruelty Investigators course. Vet Tech experience. Duties: Protect the public health against the devastating effects of rabies. Enforce County Animal Control Ordinances and NC State laws pertaining to animals. Interpret these laws and educate the citizens and general public in Guilford County as to these rules. Investigate the information regarding the care and welfare of animals. Educate the citizens of Guilford County to increase the awareness of animal related problems.
